Bojan Miovski transfer fate 'sealed' with Rangers watching on as boss savagely culls striker
The Aberdeen favourite looks set to be moved on by the La Liga side before the September 1 deadline
Girona boss Michel has all but confirmed Bojan Miovski's departure amid heavy interest from Rangers.
The Aberdeen hero is a target for Russell Martin, who had previously tried to sign him from the Dons during his spell as Southampton manager.
Gers are reportedly in talks with the La Liga club over a loan deal but North Macedonia international Miovski is said to be keen on a temporary transfer with the mandatory option of a permanent switch next summer.
Miovski has also been linked with fellow Spanish club Valencia while the Bundesliga duo Freiburg and Hamburg were credited with an interest earlier this year.
The player is said to be furious after being dropped from Girona's matchday squad to face Villarreal on Sunday, with an exit before the September 1 deadline looking ever the more likely.
Miovski bagged 44 goals across his two seasons at Pittodrie but endured a tough debut campaign in Spain last year, scoring just four times in 22 matches.
And his manager Michel appears to have conceded that the Pittodrie favourite is no longer a part of his plans after dropping Miovski from the squad in favour of young forward Dawda Camara, who had made just one senior outing in four years after graduating from Girona's youth system.
Asked if Miovski's omission was due to reports that he is close to completing a move to Ibrox, Michel replied: "No, it's a technical decision, it's mine.
"Cristhian Stuani is back, he's back, and we've been able to make Dawda a professional, who couldn't make it in time last week, and that's it.
"It's my decision.
"Abel and Van de Beek are injured, and the rest, the whole team, is available."
