After a year out of the ring, Josh Taylor makes his boxing return in Glasgow tonight at the SSE Hydro.

The Tartan Tornado has been out of the ring for a year, ever since he lost his rematch against Jack Catterall via a unanimous decision. The Prestonpans boxer is currently on a two-fight losing streak, but will hope to snap that when he faces Ekow Essuman.

Taylor's run began in June 2023, when he dared to be great by taking on Teofimo Lopez, who managed to snatch his WBO light-welterweight championship away via a unanimous decision before Catterall exacted revenge on the Scotsman last year. Now Taylor is back, he will be determined to mark his ring return with a bang as he aims to scale back up the rankings to world title contention. Here, Record Sport takes you through everything you need to know to watch the former unified champion in action.

DAZN can be watched on television, but viewers who prefer the big screen will need to purchase a subscription. A one-off payment of £119.99 can be made, while those who prefer more flexibility can pay £24.99 a month and cancel at any time.

DAZN 1 HD can be viewed on channel 429 on Sky and is a compatible app with most smart TVs.

Live Stream

DAZN is primarily a subscription-based streaming site, so those who like to live stream their sport can do so by subscribing to the platform and downloading the DAZN app.

As is always the case in boxing, the ring walk time can often change at the last minute. The event is scheduled to start at 7pm BST on May 24.

Ring walk times often depend on how the undercard bouts conclude. If each match requires all of the allotted rounds, then the ring walk time will be later.

However, both Taylor and Essuman are predicted to be taking to the ring at around 10pm BST.
