In our online article titled "Councillor under investigation for inappropriate conduct has Labour whip removed nine months after complaint," published on 22 December 2024, we erroneously stated that Cllr Bryan Pottinger's Labour party whip in Midlothian was removed on 11 December 2024. We now understand that, in fact, the whip was removed in April 2024 but the Council only removed the Labour designation for the Councillor from its website in December. We apologise for the confusion and are happy to set the record straight.
