Heading off to university can be an exciting new chapter for students. However, it can also be quite daunting, as it is poses the first time they will need to fend for themselves.

Aside from cramming in study sessions, the cost of everyday essentials can be quite the challenge, which is why Aldi has confirmed the return of a popular low-cost range for those about to start a new term in September.

The budget supermarket giant is set to drop a whole selection of homeware and kitchen must-haves that are ideal for freshers and returning students alike, with prices set to range from £1.49 to £22.99.

Arriving in the Specialbuys aisle in two waves, the first round of products will land in the middle aisle from August 28, while further products will arrive a few days later on August 31 - but they won't be around for long.

Moving into university halls for the first time? Then freshers can settle in with a selection of comfy bedding, with a 10.5 tog duvet available in a single (£8.99), double (£11.99) and king-size (£13.99.)

Bedrooms can be made even cosier with a four-pack of pillows (£12.99), alongside a student duvet cover for double to king-size beds (£8.49 - £9.99), while fairy lights that cost £2.99 will offer an ambient glow to any drab looking room.

Those needing to sort out their study arrangements can also bag the Laptop & Monitor Riser (£12.99) that lifts screens to eye levels, while also saving space. In addition, they can also come home to a nifty built-in drawer to keep studying essentials safe.

Studying essentials that will be available also include a 3-Tier Storage Trolley (£12.99) that can organise everything from notebooks to snacks, while a brand new Metal Table Lamp (£19.99), available in cream or black, is the perfect nightstand companion.

Another game-changing product for anyone studying will be the Home Office Pillow Assortment that will help support posture and prevent that dreaded 'tech neck' for as low as just £9.99.

Meanwhile, the likes of a Portable Blender (£12.99) and Insulated Assortments (£5.99) allow students to get in their daily nutrition, tea and coffee during their early morning or late night study sessions.

Of course, saving money often means spending more time in the kitchen, rather than relying on the regular takeaway's that will eat into students' budgets, which is why the range will also offer a selection of affordable cooking items.

The standout has to be the 3.5L Air Fryer that has been billed as a "game-changer for uni life", allowing anyone to whip up healthy meals and perfect their cooking skills for as little as just £24.99.

There's also the general essentials such as the space-saving Mini Kettle and Toaster that no students kitchen would be complete without, costing a rather humble £9.99.

Meal prep can also be made handy with the arrival of the supermarket's 3-in-1 Mini Food Processor (£22.99) that can chop, mix and blend with ease, while early mornings can be sorted out with the Omelette Maker and the Mini Sandwich Maker (£9.99.)
