Scorching temperatures and relentless sunshine are delightful to enjoy, but they can wreak havoc on grass areas. Garden enthusiasts battling with parched and damage lawns can purchase grass seed to resurrect their dead and lifeless greenery.

Whilst numerous choices exist at traditional gardening retailers, those seeking convenience can order bags from Amazon for direct home delivery. Among the marketplace's most sought-after grass seed manufacturers is GroundMaster.

Their flagship product is the Premium Lawn Grass Seed, available in various bag weights ranging from 500grams up to substantial 25kg packages, reports the Mirror. Costs span from £6.99 for the smallest bag to £124.99 for the largest.

The grass seeds provide coverage extending to 60 square metres per kilogram. It's also animal-safe and capable of rejuvenating lawns throughout any season.

GroundMaster's Premium Lawn Grass Seed boasts over 5,000 customer reviews and ratings on Amazon. One purchaser reported witnessing results within '10 days' after adhering to the packet guidelines.

Gardeners are full of praise for the bags of grass seed which comes in several sizes.

They continued: "I also sprinkled a thin layer of fine soil over the top to hide the seed from the birds that would have eaten it all. I kept the seed watered - never letting it dry out, then about 10 days later the seed just burst into life. I've now got a nice green lawn. This is the second 5KG bag of this I've bought, and I'd buy it if I needed any more."

Meanwhile, B&Q stocks Verve Universal Grass Seeds for £10 per 1.5kg box. The item boasts excellent customer feedback, with one buyer commenting: "Bought before and renewed lawn resulting in thick, lush grass even in shady areas."

Specialised shade-resistant grass seed is also on offer, such as the Gro-Sure Shady Lawn Seed, priced at £9 from Wickes. Its blue coating deters birds whilst feeding the seed.

Another Amazon customer who tried GroundMaster's Premium Lawn Grass Seed reported 'fast-growing' outcomes and a 'lovely, strong-looking grass'. They added: "Approximately three weeks after planting and watering the seeds well, the grass started to come through, and it's looking really good. It still needs to thicken up a bit, but I am pleased with its progress so far and would recommend this seed."

Sadly one buyer was less satisfied, as they explained: "Had grown well in most areas, however [there were] patches in other areas where it has struggled to grow. Not quite living up to expectations."

In contrast, a glowing review of the Premium Lawn Grass Seed reads: "Great value for money! I'm forever buying boxes of seed, especially in the spring, to bring the grass back to life after winter. I decided to go for a 5kg bag to help me, as the lawn was so patchy. Definitely worth buying. The grass has come through really thick and green! I've bought some more for my dad now."
