Iconic Channel 4 sitcom 'returning' as cast members reunite in teaser snaps
Fans of The Inbetweeners have predicted that a reunion is finally coming after ten years.
Fans of The Inbetweeners have been begging for a reunion ever since the hilarious Channel 4 sitcom came to an end in 2010 and some fresh new snaps of the cast members have further sparked hope that it may finally be coming. The iconic comedy series, starring Simon Bird, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and James Buckley, ran for just three seasons between 2008 and 2010.
However, it went on to become one of the channel's most successful shows ever and is still widely considered one of Britain's most beloved comedy shows of all time. Running for 18 episodes in total with two sequel films in 2011 and 2014, The Inbetweeners focuses on the hilarious and painfully awkward love lives of Jay, Will, Neil and Simon as they attend sixth form college.
The gang have now not appeared on screen together since their 2019 Fwends Reunited show and fans are calling for an Inbetweeners 3 or a reunion episode to be released after one star took to Instagram with a cryptic post, which certainly sparked quite the reaction.
Actor James Buckley, who portrays Jay in the Channel 4 show, took to Instagram to tease that he is "working on something" with co-star Joe, who plays Simon.
Offering no further details about their upcoming collaboration, the post was accompanied by a series of snaps of James and Joe, in different outfits, behind the camera.
Excited fans raced to the comments to question whether or not an Inbetweeners reunion was coming.
One replied: "Inbetweeners 3 we are waiting." A second echoed this sentiment, even pitching an idea for the script: "Inbetweeners but it's mid life crisis time, Jay, Simon and Neil all have kids and some are married/ divorced and Simon is somehow an absolute stud with the ladies and is single rich and free."

Someone else chimed in that they 'couldn't wait' for an Inbetweeners reunion after waiting 10 years.
James and Joe previously worked together on the sitcom White Gold, which followed a crew of window salesmen in 1980s Essex.
White Gold ran for two seasons between 2017 and 2019 before it was cancelled by the BBC with James confessing in 2020 that he had no idea the show had been axed.
Other fans predicted that James' post meant that the windows sales comedy would be making a return once again as it was just the two of them shown in the snaps.
It could also be that the duo are working on something entirely new as out of all the cast, they appear to be the closest work wise after the pair also teamed up for an Oasis-themed sketch in aid of Comic Relief earlier this year.
Since the end of The Inbetweeners, the four stars have been working on separate things with the 2019 Fwends Reunited show being the last time any of them worked together.
However, the show was slammed by fans as people had expected the talk show to be a one-off sequel episode.
Fans are however holding out hope that Inbetweeners 3 is now on the way.
