Inside bleak world of Lily Phillips' 'live stunts' as parents share how they really feel about her work
Lily Phillips has become one of the world's most successful adult content creators and has made her parents millionaires.
A new Stacey Dooley documentary has given viewers a shocking insight into the world of OnlyFans star Lily Phillips - and how her parents really feel about the 23-year-old being an adult content creator.
Lily, who hails from a small village in Derbyshire, dropped out of university after just a few months to join the online platform. In her first day on the site, she raked in £2,000 and has since performed several 'live stunts', including sleeping with 100 men in one day, taking her content beyond the digital realm.
"When I started that, I was like wow - I found a glitch in the matrix and I can make money doing what I love," she told Dooley in the documentary.
Naturally, the topic of how her parents feel about her career choice arises. She explained: "I described it to them as more like glamour modelling. Obviously, they were concerned at the start - are you safe, as long as it's only online".
Lily went on to confess that she hadn't informed her parents about her latest 'stunt'. These stunts occur in person, not online, and Lily actively recruits participants for them. No one is off limits, reports the Mirror.
The content was so shocking that none of it made it into the documentary.
During a heartfelt conversation, Lily became emotional while discussing her career with her parents during their regular Sunday catch-up, joined by documentary maker and journalist Stacey Dooley.
Speaking on Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, her dad admits: "We've known for years she's done OnlyFans and I thought it was just posing in swimwear and lingerie."
Her mum went on: "When she said she was doing Only Fans, we stood back because we want to continue our relationship with our daughter. We were pretty open with it, but when it went to the next step, we were like 'no no'."
In a heartbreaking admission, her dad then confesses: "If there's anything we could do to change her profession, we'd do it overnight... It's the degradingness of it and making sure that she's safe.
Sometimes we think have we done anything wrong with her upbringing, well as far as I'm concerned we've had nothing but nice times and love... Is it money? Because if it was money, we'd sell our house. You could have everything you want Lily if you gave it all up now."
When questioned about her feelings, Lily said she understands and respects her parents' position and "that's that".
However, the discussion eventually becomes overwhelming for Lily and she steps away after overhearing her parents becoming upset about their daughter's career path.
"I don't want to be on camera, I just need a moment," she says.
Her mum also becomes tearful as both parents express regret for distressing her, whilst her dad reveals he gets phone calls from strangers saying "I hope your daughter dies".
Lily admits she'd do whatever it takes to prevent her parents from being impacted by her choices - though discussing finances proves difficult for her.
When pushed by Stacey regarding her earnings, Lily finally admits to being worth millions.
"So the subscribers, they'll give a tenner and she's got 33,000 so that's £330,000 a month," Stacey reveals during one of Lily's live videos - which all gets too much and Stacey walks out, unable to watch it continue.
Lily's empire has enabled her to purchase her dream motor outright, with financing not even crossing Lily's mind.
"Does multimillionaire mean lots of millions in the bank? I'd say multimillionaire," Lily admits rather sheepishly, before adding: "I'm so English - I find money so uncomfortable to talk about... I find it a little bit distasteful."
At merely 23 years old, Lily claims she's been intimate with over 1,000 men. One of her most popular videos - which featured her sleeping with 100 men in a single day - netted her a seven-figure amount.
Despite her parents' concerns, she has no intention of abandoning what she does.
When Stacey enquires whether there's a scenario where she'd quit her profession, she insists she wouldn't.
"I don't see it as that extreme," she responds, seemingly reinforcing her choice to remain in the business.
"Is all of this worth it?" Stacey questions Lily, who responds: "I can't imagine what else I'd be doing. It gives me so much drive and a reason to wake up in the morning. This is something that isn't degrading for me - I still have to live my life how I want to."
