ITV Coronation Street actor looks unrecognisable 28 years on from long soap stint
Adam Rickitt was the second actor to play Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street

Adam Rickitt is a familiar face to many fans of Coronation Street after his iconic on and off stint on the cobbles launched a pop career and heartthrob status for the actor. First appearing in Weatherfield in 1997, the star was the second person to take on the role of Nick Tilsley on the ITV soap, but he soon made it his own.
A regular cover star of the hottest teen magazines at the time, Rickitt would go on to capitalise on his success by setting out on a pop career in the late 1990s, which saw him shirtless and flexing his muscles on many an occasion, as writes the Mirror.
He returned to acting after his foray into music and starred in a number of other successful soaps.
These days the star, now 47, who was recently left devastated at the tragic death of his mother, enjoys a settled life with his wife and their two dogs. The couple run their own business and thanks to their love of travel have just bought a second home abroad.
Here we take a look at Rick's ever-changing image throughout the last three decades.
Adam had never seen an episode of Coronation Street when he auditioned for the role of Nick Tilsley as a joke after his agent told him he didn't have a chance. But against the odds, he did get the part, and he made his debut on the cobbles in 1997, soon getting close to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and forming an iconic 90s soap couple, eventually eloping to get married.
