Jannik Sinner 'acting differently' in Wimbledon final as former champion taken aback by shock tactics

The Italian has lost five straight against his great rival and hasn't defeated him since 2023

Jannik Sinner

Emboldened Jannik Sinner is switching up the habits of a lifetime in the Wimbledon Final in a bid to rid himself of his hex against Carlos Alcaraz.

The Italian has lost five straight against his great rival and hasn't defeated him since 2023. Sinner is currently battling Alcaraz in a stone-cold classic at SW19 as he aims to win his first ever Wimbledon title.

And a new Sinner is on display according to 2013 women's champion Marion Bartoli who has been blown away by Sinner's demeanour on court.

Bartoli, writing for the BBC, said: "There's a lot more reaction than we're used to seeing from Jannik Sinner. First of all, he's going a lot more to his towel box.

"Normally he plays quickly between each point but I think he needs some extra time to really put aside the bad points and any unforced errors.

"And there's a lot more facial expression from him in this final. You can tell this match really counts for him.'
