Netflix's 'steamy' erotic romance thriller which has viewers 'hooked'
Netflix viewers have taken to Rotten Tomatoes to leave their reviews on the new romantic thriller which landed on the streaming giant just days ago.
A new 'steamy' erotic thriller, Fall For Me, has stormed the Netflix top 10 charts since being added to the streaming giant just days ago. It is already being compared to Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the books of EL James.
The German erotic thriller arrived on Netflix's streaming service on August 21 and stars Svenja Jung as Lilli, who sparked an instant connection with nightclub manager Tom (Theo Trebs) while visiting her sister Valeria (Tijan Marei) engaged to a Frenchman.
Fall For Me, directed by Sherry Hormann, features an original screenplay from Stefanie Sycholt. With a blend of danger and seduction, the series centres around Lilli's fiery affair with Tom.
Meanwhile, he hides a much darker secret that he has no wish of disclosing to her. Within just two days of its release, the erotic thriller has climbed up Netflix's streaming chart and now sits at spot number five.
The official Netflix synopsis for Fall For Me reads: "Lilli is suspicious of her sister's new fiance, but when an attractive stranger enters her life, she's suddenly distracted by the thralls of desire."
Fans of the erotic film have taken to Rotten Tomatoes to leave their reviews, which some say will have you 'hooked'.
However, not everyone has been loving the film, with some critics even comparing it to being as bad as "watching paint dry" so the response has varied.
One fan wrote on Rotten Tomatoes: "Although somewhat predictable, I found myself hooked from the beginning. Personally, this was a really enjoyable and exciting watch and I would recommend it."
"Quite Fun to Watch! Enjoyed the entire movie and the actors. Quick movie, less than 2 hours. Would recommend," another added.
New Netflix & Amazon series
However not everyone was a fan of the 'steamy' new film. One person said: "It’s so cringe. The dialogue is contrived & the characters aren’t believable at all whatsoever."
Another viewer was certainly not holding back their negative critique, as they fumed: "Can we normalise NOT using women as sex objects. Every scene, this women is in white shirts with no bra… it’s repulsive!"
One critic added: "The experience of watching Fall for Me is a lot like watching paint dry, with the semi-important caveat of someone getting their nipples out every twenty minutes or so."
