A short clip filmed outside the venue features the unmistakable chords of Cigarettes and Alcohol, a firm fan favourite, prompting immediate excitement and a flurry of reactions online.
What appears to be Liam Gallagher singing resonated from within the stadium.
The Oasis Live ’25 tour gets underway in Cardiff on Friday and will see brothers Noel and Liam perform live together for the first time since the band’s split in 2009.
Among their reunion shows which bringing Liam and Noel Gallagher back together is a trio of dates at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium venue in August.
Wales Online reporter Conor Gogarty captured the video footage from the Fitzhamond Embankment opposite the venue, in which you can hear the group blasting out their cult classic tracks.
“Oasis soundcheck in Cardiff just now. @liamgallagher sounding biblical,” he quipped.
But it wasn’t long before Liam chimed in, writing: “Mmm I’m not sure about the vocals there too aggressive he really needs to take a chill pill man he’s just so angry all the time.
‘I don’t know who he thinks he is as far as I’m concerned he’s just a bigmouth from up north.”
The monumental moment has reignited excitement among fans, with a number taking to social media in awe.
“I’ve been chilled about not getting tickets but that is cool as f*ck. Shivers,” one fan shared.
“It’s all starting to feel real,” another posted.
The UK and Ireland run of Oasis shows includes seven shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The band will also head to Canada, the US, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
The 2025 tour consists of 41 dates in total, ending on November 23 in São Paulo.
Earlier this week, the band also teased that extra tickets will be made available to fans soo.
