Outlander Blood of My Blood fans delighted about surprising connection between Jamie and Claire's mothers
Outlander: Blood of My Blood has hooked fans already but many say the same thing about Jamie and Claire's parents
Outlander: Blood of My Blood aired its third episode over the weekend and already, fans can't get enough. The Outlander prequel follows the journeys of Jamie and Claire's parents and many adoring followers took to social media to discuss both sets of parents surprisingly crossing paths.
The show, which finally dropped last week, saw Jamie and Claire's mothers meet. Julia Beauchamp offered Ellen MacKenzie advice on her relationship with Brian Fraser, which gave fans goosebumps - as she ultimately helped lead to the birth of her future son-in-law, unbeknownst to her.
On the official Outlander Instagram page, the clip was played which showed Claire's mum Julia and Jamie's mum Ellen having a conversation which pulled at viewers' heartstrings.
Julia asked Ellen: "You love Brian Fraser don't you?"
She replied: "With my whole heart."
Julia then told her: "Then go to him, many search their entire lives for the kind of love you've found, and rarely do they succeed. If you don't go, it'll haunt you forever."
The clip was captioned: "In this moment, every #Outlander fan’s mind was collectively blown. #BloodOfMyBlood."
Fans couldn't have agreed more as they flocked to the comments to discuss. One penned: "The idea that J and C s parents helped each other to be together."
Another said: "Julia was the wingwoman who made her daughter’s husband’s birth possible. WHAT. She really is the bridge. I loved that so much."
While one added: "When Julia said “I’m the bridge..” BOB has been SO emotional for me already. What a gift!"
Another wrote: "So Julia pushed the two to be together, and that became the reason Jamie—her daughter Claire’s future husband, came into the picture! Excellent!"

One commented: "Every time I see Jamie and Claire’s parents interact I think “wow the in laws are meeting and they don’t even know it”.
Many Outlander diehards then said they hope Jamie and Claire find out about their parent's interactions. One said: "I'm so curious to see S8 now... and I hope. Claire will learn all of this or even meet her parents if they are still alive."
Another said: "I really hope Claire learns about her parents."
The series looks at both Jamie and Claire's parent's love stories, one which starts on the battlefields of the Western Front during World War I and the other in the meadows of Scotland in the early 18th century.
Since its debut more than a decade ago, Outlander itself has amassed a global fanbase. The historical romance series, centring round Claire Randall/Fraser (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), saw their love affair quickly capture hearts.
However with the show nearing its end with the eighth and final season set for 2026, fans are now wondering if Jamie and Claire will ever know that their parents' paths actually crossed.
