Peter Crouch's wife Abbey Clancy threatens to leave and says 'my love for you is fading'
Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy got into an argument while recording their podcast after the model brought up something that was bothering her.
Peter Crouch's wife Abbey Clancy threatened to quit the podcast she co-hosts with her husband after being mocked for wondering why a fly is called a bluebottle, after saying it 'doesn't suit' the insect.
After a debate 39-year-old Abbey warned 44-year-old Peter and fellow co-host Ross that she wouldn't tolerate the constant teasing.
The former footballer joked about her bringing up the random subject on a "global podcast," and Ross suggested their listeners must "feel sorry for Pete."
In the wake of the debate, Peter and Ross kept laughing, much to Abbey's annoyance, prompting her to say she felt ‘bullied’ by the duo, the Mirror reports.
The mum-of-four fumed: "Shut your mouth! Do you know, I am actually going to leave? I am actually going to leave this. No-one’s got a sense of humour on this podcast."
"Anything I say gets taken out of context, I’m constantly getting bullied." Even though Peter insisted that Abbey ‘wasn't getting bullied at all,’ she fired back: ‘Honestly Pete, I swear to god, my love for you is fading drastically."
This isn’t the first time Peter and Abbey have spoken publicly about their relationship in recent months. In July they reflected on how their careers have impacted their personal lives, nearly two decades after they first met when Abbey was working as a waitress
In one episode of their podcast, the couple interviewed golfer Lee Westwood and his partner Helen about their relationship. During the conversation, Abbey opened up about how challenging it can be to co-host the podcast when she and Peter have been arguing.
She said: "When Pete and I have a row, and we have to do this pod because it comes out weekly, we have to do it and we're literally not talking to each other — it's really difficult."
Peter then admitted: "We had an argument before the podcast this morning, and it is difficult to navigate."
One way the couple balances life together is by pursuing separate hobbies, with Peter playing games of golf, while Abbey enjoys horse riding. Earlier this year, on another episode of their podcast, Peter highlighted the benefits of this approach.
He said: "I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Like, not every day, because we need to do stuff together as well. But I think for some part of the week, I think that's a totally healthy relationship."
In reply, Abbey stated: "It is, because I've never been happier."
