Phillip Schofield's earnings after career ending scandal are a world away from TV heyday
Former This Morning host Philip Schofield's latest earnings have been reported.
Philip Schofield's television career may have come to an end but new details of the former TV presenter's earnings have been revealed. The 63-year-old presenter, who publicly came out as gay in 2020, remains married to wife Stephanie despite the scandal surrounding his relationship with a younger colleague which ended his career and led to his departure from This Morning in 2023.
Although Phil's career collapsed following the scandal two years ago, his financial and family connection to Stephanie remains strong. New figures reported by the MailOnline reveal that Phil earned just £20,000 last year, a world away from the seven-figure earnings he once enjoyed from ITV.
Records from his company, Fistral Productions, show it paid just £3,947 in tax for the year ending in November 2024, suggesting a reduced income, the Express reports.
However the company still boasts net assets of £2.1 million, keeping him financially afloat despite his career collapse. Stephanie, his wife since 1993, is still listed as a director and it is her name featured in the latest records rather than his.
Additionally, the accounts show the firm is owed nearly £900,000 by Fistral Properties, another business venture co-owned by the former couple.
Despite being publicly disgraced for his actions, Phil continues to wear his wedding ring and spend time at the family home. He also remains devoted to Stephanie despite revealing he was gay when he married her.
Phil once described living what he saw as the "perfect life" as a husband and a father saying he didn't want anything to get in the way of their happiness.
But the TV star knew he had caused his wife, Stephanie, great pain, stating: "That is what makes this so hard. Knowing you are hurting the perfect person, but I still love Steph as much as when we first met. More, probably."
It later emerged that Stephanie decided against filing for a divorce, saying she didn't want her husband to 'fall any further' than he has, and that despite everything, she insists "the love is still very much there."
Although Phil made a brief return to TV last year, he has largely stayed out of the public eye since his dramatic downfall more than two years ago. He was seen last September at a Soho hotel with his daughter Molly and life-time friend Scott Brown as they enjoyed dining outside.
More recently, the former This Morning host was photographed in London, staggering out onto the street and holding onto a mystery male after a day of drinking.
