Rangers star Mikey Moore lands new Tottenham contract as A-lister gives Ibrox move seal of approval
It's been quite the 18th birthday for the attacker who has penned a new long-term deal in North London
Mikey Moore has been handed a huge show of faith from Tottenham on his 18th birthday.
The Rangers loanee - waiting to make his debut due to UEFA red tape after joining on a season-long loan - has been handed a new long-term deal in North London.
Russell Martin is desperate to get his new man involved with one A-lister handing his move north of the border for the campaign the seal of approval.
Moore has featured for Spurs' top team on 21 occasions to date and played for England up to Under-19 level so far.
The move to Ibrox will offer many more first team opportunities in a pressure environment both domestically and on the European stage with Rangers having one huge foot in the Champions League play-off round.
Former Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas is a huge fan of the youngster and reckons his time at Rangers is only going to make him an even stronger player for when he returns south next summer.
Speaking to Jackpot City Casino, he said: "A loan can really benefit a young player and that could be the making of Mikey Moore, going to Rangers.
"Getting that experience would be a great opportunity, he is young and he could come back a really strong player."
Moore himself has had to be patient as he waits to show the Rangers fans what he has to offer.
He's yet to get minutes on the park but his team-mates are just potentially 90 minutes away from safely navigating the second of three hurdles in an attempt to reach Europe's top table.
They travel to Viktoria Plzen with a 3-0 lead from the Ibrox first meeting last midweek.
The games keep coming thick and fast for Martin and Co who then return from European duty to face Alloa Athletic in the Premier Sports Cup on Saturday night in front of the TV cameras.
