Shark launches limited edition cordless vacuum inspired by Brad Pitt blockbuster
Shark has released a new cordless vacuum inspired by Apple's F1: The Movie, and it comes with a feature users 'didn't know' they needed.
Shark has launched a limited edition vacuum cleaner inspired by a Brad Pitt blockbuster. Fans of both the homeware brand and the Hollywood icon can pick up the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner inspired by F1 The Movie.
To mark its release, Shark is also offering a £200 discount, slashing the device from £549.99 to £349.99. Other products in Shark’s F1 collection include the FlexBreeze Pro Fan System (£249.99) and PowerDetect Robot Vacuum and Mop (£549.99).
Each device in the new range is designed in APX GP black and gold team colours, a nod to the fictional Formula 1 team for which Pitt drives in the summer blockbuster. Shark touts the PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner as delivering the ‘best debris cleaning’ of any cordless vacuum, while its innovative ‘Auto-Empty’ dock charges and empties itself after every use.

The vacuum is ideal for homes with pets thanks to Shark’s signature ‘Anti Hair Wrap Plus’ technology, which removes hair from its specially engineered bristles and ensures ‘powerful’ hair pick up. It also boasts several ‘dirt-detecting’ features, including the ability to detect dirt and increase suction accordingly thanks to built-in sensors.
The Shark vacuum can also adjust its power when it detects edges and floor type, while its DuoClean Detect floorhead is designed to work in both forward and reverse for a more efficient clean. Other standout features include a 70-minute runtime, a bendable ‘Flexology’ wand to clean under furniture and an LED display displaying Dirt Detection and Battery Status information.

Shoppers looking for a more affordable vacuum can find the Avalsor Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is now half price at Amazon, where it’s reduced from £189.99 to £95.45. Elsewhere, Hoover’s HF4 Hydro Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is £100 off at £199 and serves as both a vacuum cleaner and mop.
But for those sticking with Shark, the PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner inspired by F1 The Movie has earned a 4.4-star rating after more than 240 reviews.
One five-star review says: “Great vacuum cleaner on all types of floors, even our thick pile rug that gets covered in dog hair very quickly. Great suction when needed. I love the auto-empty function, something I didn’t know I needed.”
