There is just a week to go until the summer transfer window slams shut - and Scotland's no1 live blog is about to come into its own.
Celtic know they need to get deals over the line before the September 1 deadline to ease pressure from fans on the Parkhead hierarchy. And patience now seems to have paid off in pursuit of long-term target Michel-Ange Balikwisha - with a £4.5million move close - while Boca Juniors left-back Marcelo Saracchi on his way with terms agreed.
Russell Martin dropped a Rangers bombshell that Hamza Igamane refused to come off the bench in Sunday's draw with St Mirren after Ibrox transfer chiefs turfed out another bid for the Moroccan.
But a £9million bid is set to be put on the table by Lille - with six other players also set to be shown the door.
Should Igamane move on, one man who could replace him at Ibrox is Aberdeen hero Bojan Miovski. Record Sport has exclusively revealed that the striker will only consider a permanent exit from Girona.
Speaking of the Dons, Jimmy Thelin's men are gearing up for their Europa League play-off second leg with FCSB in Romania and the Swede hasn’t closed the door on a permanent move for prolific loanee Kevin Nisbet.
Hibs are also in Conference League play-off action against Legia Warsaw, and while they trail 2-1 from the first encounter, progress could see David Gray handed a healthy transfer boost before the window slams shut.
On the other side of the capital, Hearts boss Derek McInnes is hoping to add another goalkeeper to provide extra competition for veteran stopper Craig Gordon and Zander Clark.
Keep up to date with all the latest news, rumours and signings with Scotland's No1 LIVE blog.
Key Events
Braga earns acclaim
Claudio Braga can become a Hearts talisman after the forward inspired their weekend comeback against Motherwell.
The Portuguese came off the bench at half-time and netted twice as Hearts came back from being 3-0 down after 62 minutes.
Braga even came close to scoring a hat-trick but another effort was pushed on to the post.
After missing the only penalty in the Premier Sports Cup shoot-out defeat at St Mirren, McInnes was delighted with the player’s response.
That’s football. Last week he was in the depths of despair. It was a tough weekend for him, as it was for all of us. But he’s got that in him to be infectious and he can be that talisman for us. He’s a good foil for all our strikers when he’s in that sort of form and that sort of mood. Of course he can play from the start. We don’t spend the money we spent on him to sit on the bench. All the subs impacted and helped the team get something from the game.
Celtic target on his way
Premiership champions Celtic are on the brink of securing the signing of Marcelo Saracchi.
The 27-year-old Uruguayan is bound for Glasgow after an agreement was reached with Boca Juniors to green light his switch to Glasgow.
And Saracchi, in a surprise move, is signing an extension with Boca before sealing a season-long loan in Glasgow without an option to buy.
The Argentina are seeking added protection over the former Leipzig man's contract and Celtic will pay a fee of around £75,000 and his wage packet during his time in Glasgow.
Saracchi played against Celtic twice while with the Germans and will act as Kieran Tierney's understudy and allow the Premiership champions to green light a loan exit for Hayato Inamura.

Propper lifts lid on 'difficult' Rangers stint
Robin Propper admits he was unable to adapt to Scottish football during his stint with Rangers.

But the Dutch centre back also reckons the constant scrutiny surrounding matters on the field at Ibrox make trying to play free-flowing football difficult.
Propper returned to FC Twente earlier this summer after being told he wasn't a part of new boss Russell Martin's plans, just 12 months on from his arrival from the Eredivisie club under Philippe Clement.
The 31-year-old made 43 appearances in all competitions in total in his lone season, with Gers losing the Premier Sports Cup final to Celtic, suffering a shock Scottish Cup exit to Queen's Park and then finishing 17 points behind their bitter city rivals in the title race.
After sealing his departure, Propper took aim at the way the game is predominantly played in Scotland, labelling it as 'kick and rush'.
But in a new interview, the defender concedes he couldn't get up to speed with it.
Saracchi Hoops motivation 'revealed'
Marcelo Saracchi is keen to join Celtic because he believes it will improve his chances of getting into the Uruguay squad for the World Cup next year.
The Boca Juniors defender is said to be closing in on an intial loan move to Parkhead as Brendan Rodgers looks to provide Kieran Tierney with added competition in the left back department.
And Argentine outlet El Intransigente report that Saracchi's motivation to make the move his fueled by his hopes of winning more caps for his country.
The 27-year-old won the latest of his nine caps last year.

The Italian champions are proposing a deal worth nearly £39m all in for the 22-year-old.

And The Athletic now report that the Italian capital club want to sign the left back on loan, although Liverpool would prefer a permanent deal.

Everton have confirmed the signing of Tyler Dibling from Southampton.
The Toffees have been after the England U21 star all summer and have paid the Saints £40million to bring him to Merseyside, with the 19-year-old penning a four-year contract.
Dibling made 33 appearances for Southampton in the Premier League last season.
Johnston agrees Rams deal

Scotland star Max Johnston has agreed a four year contract with Derby County.
The Rams have also thrashed out a £2.5 million deal, that could eventually hit the £4 million mark, with Sturm Graz,
The 21-year-old, who has been included in Steve Clarke’s squad for the World Cup double header with Denmark and Belarus, is now set to travel to England tomorrow (tues) for a medical and complete his move within the next 48 hours.
Derby have pushed the boat out to make Johnston one of the highest earning right-backs in the English Championship.
The former Motherwell player has been their top target all summer and they have fought off stiff competition from across Europe for his signature.
The ambitious Rams have pushed the boat out financially to land Johnston.
They are also set for major investment over the coming weeks to bolster their position in the Championship and then to push for promotion to the Premiership.
Johnston won two league and a cup and also played in the Champions League in his team a Sturm Graz.
He left Motherwell, who didn’t get a sell-on, in 2023.
Bets 'hopeful' of Antony deal
Real Betis are reportedly pushing hard to sign Manchester United flop Antony on a permanent deal.
The Brazilian enjoyed something of a rebirth in his loan spell in La Liga in the second half of last season, registering nine goals and five assists in 25 matches.
And various reports now claim that the two parties are hopeful of reaching an agreement.
Igamane out and Miovski in

Lille are ready to up the ante with a bid of around £9million for Hamza Igamane - which could also free up the cash for Rangers to make a permanent move for Bojan Miovski.
The French side had a bid for the Moroccan international - who allegedly refused to come off the bench against St Mirren - turned down last week, but have since re-opened talks
Lille are understood to be willing to make a bid of around £9million with the potential for another £3million in add-ons to land Igamane.

Girona striker Miovski is one of those options.

The Colombia international has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
And Sky Germany now claim Bavarian giants Bayern are poised to land Jackson on loan.
Hoops target goes AWOL

Celtic transfer target Louis Munteanu has reportedly been fined by CFR Cluj after going AWOL in an effort to force a move away from the club.
The Romanian international striker is said to be on Brendan Rodgers' radar, with the Hoops boss desperate to add more firepower in the forward department.
Celtic reportedly saw a £6.9million bid for the player turfed out this summer while Greek giants Olympiacos and Valencia in La Liga also credited with an interest in the 23-year-old, who banged in 25 goals last season.
An insider close to Munteanu's camp has claimed that the attacker has a preference to move to Spain and reports in Romania now state that the player is facing disciplinary action after going on an unauthorised vacation in the wake of a humilating 7-2 defeat to BK Hacken in the first leg of their Conference League play-off.
Gers kid set for Alloa switch
Rangers youngster Calum Adamson is set to join Alloa Athletic on loan.
The Scotland under-19 internationalist is about to make the switch as part of the cooperation agreement between the two sides.
The central midfielder is one of the most highly-rated talents coming through the Rangers' academy.
The 18-year-old has already been training with Russell Martin’s first-team.
Adamson knocked back English Premier League offers to sign a contract extension at Ibrox.
This loan move means that Rangers will pay the player's wages but it means they can recall him at any time.
Rangers are also looking at other options to send out to the League One leaders.
Josh Gentles was there on loan last season but he is expected to take the step up to Raith Rovers, in the Championship, this season.
DONE DEAL! Saints sign Fotheringham
St Johnstone have confirmed the permanent signing of Kai Fotheringham from Dundee United for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder joins Simo Valakari's side on a two year deal after scoring 15 goals in 79 matches in total at Tannadice.
Speaking to the club's website, he said:
I’m absolutely buzzing. We’ve been in talks for a little bit now and, when I heard about the interest, I wanted to come here and help the team.
Coming up against Saints a couple of times last year, the manager’s style of football is really good – and suits me as a player. That was a main factor for me. The team has started the league really well and now I want to add to that.
I spoke to the gaffer about my past and the lack of football in the last year or so. He knows that, at 22, I need to be playing as many minutes as I can. Hopefully I can get that here at McDiarmid Park, obviously if I am performing as well.
BREAKING! Lille come back to table for Igamane

Lille have reportedly come back to the table for Hamza Igamane – just 24 hours after he controversially refused to play for Rangers.
The Morocco striker made headlines yesterday when he sprung an unwelcome surprise on Russell Martin, who wanted to substitute him on for the final half hour of the 1-1 draw with St Mirren.
The visibly irked boss told the press after the game that Igamane, who was passed fit before kick-off, claimed he'd picked up a quad injury in the warm-up and couldn't play.
Most of the direct criticism of Igamane came from outside, with his former coach Billy Dodds telling him the offence was enough to end his Ibrox career. But Martin did admit the striker's future at Ibrox is uncertain after a bid was rejected last week.
But now it seems Lille have come back to the table with a fresh push to land him in the final week of the window.
Foot Mercato say that, just a day after the incident, Lille have re-entered negotiations, a development which has left Igamane 'delighted' – since he is desperate to play in Ligue 1 this season.
Rangers were previously holding out for a fee close to £15m but it remains to be seen if their bargaining position has been harmed by the public fallout.
It's understood talks between the clubs are back underway and while no offer has been made yet, one could 'come quickly.'
DONE DEAL! Tilio seals Celtic exit

Marco Tilio has officially left Celtic permanently to join Rapid Vienna for an undisclosed fee.
The Aussie winger has struggled to break through at Celtic since his £1.5m move from Melbourne City in 2023 and spent the back half of last season back on loan at his former club.
He only managed two single appearances in Glasgow and now he heads for the exit door permanently.
I'm happy that the transfer has now worked out after lengthy discussions and that I can be here in Vienna. I'm really looking forward to introducing myself to the Rapid fans at the stadium soon and hope to get started quickly and play my first game here.
Mainoo would 'consider leaving United'

Kobbie Mainoo would consider leaving Manchester United in the final week of the transfer window, reports talkSPORT.
The Red Devils Academy graduate has been left on the bench by boss Ruben Amorim for the first two Premier League games of the season.
The England international has also failed to agree a new contract with Man United and his current deal expires in 2027.
Premier League pair eyed by Marseille

Marseille have identifed two English Premier League targets in their bid to land a left back.
The French giants are looking at Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas and West Ham's Brazilian-born Italy international defender Emerson Palmieri.
Roberto De Zerbi needs to fill the position and are exploring moves for one of the pair.
Rice in Rangers contract talks
Rangers want Bailey Rice to sign a new deal before they would consider a loan move.
Motherwell are keen on taking the youngster back to Fir Park on loan, while other clubs are watching his situation closely.
The 18-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.
The Ibrox side have opened talks over an extension but have yet to reach an agreement.
Rice has found first-team football hard to come by under Russell Martin.
The Scotland under-21 did get a runout against Alloa Athletic in the cup but that was out of position at left-back.
He moved from the Motherwell academy to the Rangers academy in 2022.
Rice has already had top level and European exposure.
Rangers close in on 3 transfers

Cyriel Dessers could still be in line for a Rangers exit before the window closes – with reports in Italy saying Hellas Verona are keen on a £3.5m deal.
The Nigeria international has been subject to plenty of interest this summer and Russell Martin openly admitted after their draw with St Mirren that Dessers has been honest about his desire to pursue a move away.
Unlike the bubbling situation with Hamza Igamane, where Martin will now be keen to sell as soon as possible, he's had nothing but kind words to say about Dessers who he says has been a model professional throughout the protracted transfer saga.
But that doesn't change the fact that, should an acceptable offer come in, then all parties are very much open to a move.
AEK Athens had been most heavily linked with Dessers and had a bid rejected earlier in the window but now Calcio Hellas report that Hellas Verona are showing a firm interest.
They're said to be encouraged by Rangers' openness to selling and, while they don't want to purchase him now, they feel a loan deal with the obligation to buy next summer could seal the deal.
Rangers are claimed to be pursuing £3.5m for his sale, though Hellas believe that could drop as the window ticks towards the finish line.
We've also got the latest on their reported pursuit of Bojan Miovski, while a new suitor has emerged for Nedim Bajrami.
Saints to land ex Hearts and Dun Utd man Smith

St Johnstone have been given the green light to complete the signing of Liam Smith.
The defender has secured his release from Irish side Bohemians this morning.
The former Hearts and Dundee United star will now sign a one year deal with the Championship leaders.
The 29-year-old also has the incentive of another year, which can be triggered after a set amount of appearances.
Smith had been keen to return to Scotland for family reasons.
He will be looking to help Simo Valakari’s side push for promotion.
Saints have also agreed a fee and a two year deal to sign Kai Fotheringham from Dundee United.
EXCLUSIVE! Miovski tells Rangers his transfer non negotiable

Bojan Miovski has made his transfer stance clear amid discussions with Rangers.
Gers have made contact with the Spanish side over a loan, along with several other European clubs.
Girona are ready to do business and Miovski has now put his cards on the table as to what he wants to happen.
Talk of a stunning return to Aberdeen has also been addressed. FULL STORY
Arsenal eye Leverkusen star
Arsenal are ready to pull the trigger on a deal for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie - as soon as they offload deadwood.
Ecuador stopper Hincapie, 23, has informed the former Bundesliga champions of his wish to leave this summer.
According to the Athletic, his preference is to join the Gunners and Mikel Arteta is ready to sanction a big-money deal.
Arsenal are open to offers for Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson, while Jakub Kiwior is a target for Porto.
Hincapie has a £52million release clause but Emirates chiefs are confident of striking a reduced fee for the verstaile centre-half - who can also play left-back.
Balikwisha to Celtic triggers four man signing frenzy

Celtic are on the verge of completing a £4.5million deal to sign long-term target Michael-Ange Balikwisha.
The Belgian winger, 24, bid an emotional farewell to Royal Antwerp fans on Sunday night after agreeing personal terms with the Hoops.
It's expected the lightning-quick attacker will be one of at least FOUR new faces in the door at Celtic Park as Brendan Rodgers accelerates transfer plans.
But hopes of a deal to land Feyenoord winger Calvin Stengs appear to be fading.
Kai Fotheringham set for Saints switch as contract details revealed

Kai Fotheringham will sign a two year deal with St Johnstone.
The Scottish Championship leaders have agreed a fee with Dundee United.
Fotheringham has agreed terms and is expected to make his debut against Morton this weekend.
Record Sport revealed earlier this month that Saints, Ross County and Dunfermline Athletic were all keen on the Scotland under-21 international.
Simo Valakari has convinced him to make the short switch from Tannadice to Perth.
Fotheringham was a key man in getting United back into the Premiership two seasons ago and Valakari will be hoping for something similar this time around.
The 22-year-old is looking to kick on after falling down the pecking order at United this summer.
Saints are also keen on Bohemian defender Liam Smith.
That move is dependent on the former Dundee United defender securing his release from the Irish club.
Valakari wants him after Hearts recalled Adam Forrester.
Tottenham 'launch' £43m Paz bid

Tottenham are reported to have launched a £43m bid for Como star Nico Paz – but have been told they're well short of his valuation.
Paz joined Como from Real Madrid a year ago and was one of the best attacking midfielders in Serie A with six goals and nine assists.
The 20-year-old, who made eight appearances for the senior Madrid side and scored once before making his name in Serie A, is the man they want after missing out on Eberechi Eze.
Sky Sports Italia say they've tabled an opening offer in the region of £43m but have been informed they want £60m to sell.
Paz is already a senior Argentina international and has three years to run on his contract.
